Crispy Baked Breaded Pork Chops

These tender and juicy pork chops require only a few ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 boneless center cut pork chops, about 1″ thick
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- olive oil for frying
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 425°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. In a shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and black pepper to taste.
Season flour on a shallow plate with salt and pepper to taste. In another shallow bowl, add the whisked egg. Dab the pork chops dry with a paper towel and lightly dredge in flour. Dip each pork chop into the egg, coating all sides.
Dip the pork chop into the bread crumb mixture. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown pork chops for 1-3 minutes per side.
Place each chop on prepared baking sheet and bake for about 12-14 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°. Do not overbake. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
